Afrikaans Level 2, 2013 + Thomas @ Moord

This programme extends the standard Afrikaans Level  2 programme (for grades 8-12) and includes the vocabulary for the Thomas @ Moord setwork.


The programme was developed with Liz van der Westhuizen, the Afrikaans educator @ 
De La Salle Holy Cross  College, High School  responsible for grades 8 & 9.  Thomas @ Moord is the setwork for the grade 8's in the school's curriculum.

Features
This programme extends the standard Afrikaans Level 2 programme, 2013 and includes the following additional features:

• Chapter Themes for each chapter in Thomas @ Moord (17)
• This additional vocabulary covers 1,600 words, each with pronunciations
• Chapter Themes include the standard Testing functionality where learners can assess their spelling of the relevant word, phrase or sentence
• The option exists for readings of the chapters to be included and we will assess the need for this functionality during 2013
• Language educators can also identify additional key phrases and sentences and we will update this programme accordingly
• Study notes can also be added and these are normally included in a specific school customisation

 
Who is it for

• The programme is designed for Grade 8 learners studying the Thomas @ Moord setwork
  
• It may also be used by schools using this setwork in Grade 9 or even 10.
• The programme is complimentary to the school's language syllabus and each learner should have a CD so that they can practice the work covered in class as part of their homework
• Teachers may also use this in class and this just needs to be licensed accordingly
• The programme can also be used in the media lab for group work and as a resource for learners to use while at school
